I am told that they have some kind of beef. Katt Williams has beefs. 50cents, Drake, Stephen A Smith and many other Negroes in high economic categories have beefs. Black women have them too! Nikki Minage and Meg Tha Stallion have beef. The ‘beef’ between Will Smith and Chris Rock exploded in the famous Oscars slap. Obviously we see where beefs and beefing got Tupac and Biggy. My favorite example of nigga shit ‘beefing’ is when Boozie and Snoop Dogg started beefing with Oprah and Gayle about supposed comments regarding Kobe. In a strange twist Susan Rice, Black female former National Security Advisor under the Obama Administration came to Oprah’s defense, using veiled threats directed at Boozie and Snoop (like if they don’t stop she would do an ‘extraordinary rendition’ on them and make them disappear). It would have been funny…if it was not so sad. Why is African America not tired of this foolishness? Is it a good look? Is that the National and International image of ourselves we feel most comfortable with? Is it productive? Do wealthy Negroes not have any other diversions and distractions they might amuse themselves with rather then going to TV criticizing other Black people relentlessly, and to the point of violence. We complain about Whites and other races stereotyping us as loud, argumentative and violent, and then we lovingly embrace the stereotype like Goldilocks finding the little bears’ porridge and beds just right, only to get eaten when the bear family got home. Do Negroes in America not have enough economic, academic, and political problems that we must invent interpersonal ones that require intense hatred and violence?
